2 of them were working 16 hours every day.
1 had anxiety issues because of work pressure.
And last 2, developed back problems due to prolonged sitting in front of the laptop.
All of them were exceptionally talented folks.
The false narrative of working 80 hours/week for success got to them, under unrealistic manager expectations.
They got stuck with bad managers who only cared about their results than their well-being.
In fact, I once remember working with a manager who pushed me to send her an excel when I was under 102 fever.
I mentally resigned that day!
Organizations need to learn employees are not resources to manage.
They’re humans to value.
If you are a manager and your team falls sick often under your radar, you are incompetent to be a people leader.
